SHEDDING

SHEDDING

The exhibition, titled "Shedding," marks Stone's solo debut. She delved into painting fervently during the Covid-19 lockdowns, using the art form to cope with personal losses, including her career struggles with Hollywood typecasting and the deaths of family members.

Her artworks include notable pieces like "Shedding (2023)" – an acrylic artwork featuring translucent, snake-like coils against a black background – and "The River (2022)" – an emotional piece commemorating her late nephew's journey, showcasing a river leading towards a multi-mooned sky. Stone rejects the notion of being confined to a particular "lane", hinting that perhaps painting might be her true calling.
